Unglued Craft Fest

Fargo, ND, January 25, 2011

Fargo’s first ever indie craft fest!

Unglued: Craft Fest will hold its 2nd annual indie craft fest on
Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Plains Art Museum, downtown Fargo.
Admission is free and open to everybody.

Following up on the big success of its first indie craft fest last
March and then its pop up Christmas gift shop this past
November/December, Unglued continues to inspire. Working this year
with the Plains Art Museum as a sponsor and host, Unglued: Craft Fest
brings together local and emerging crafters for a day full of the
finest handmade goods from the region.  In addition, the fest will
have local music talent hosted by Dive 95, free morning coffee from
Dunn Bros, and free craft workshops for the young and old.  Swag bags
will be handed out to the first 100 attendees – and 5 will have a
“Golden Ticket” inside of $20 Unglued cash to spend at the booth of
their choice.  Museum gallery admission will also be free.

An indie craft fair and bazaar bringing back traditional crafting
techniques with a fresh, new flair and lots of Midwest love, Unglued
is sure to satisfy a market that is bursting at its seams for the
creatively handmade.  Last year, over 2,000 attendees of all
generations and interests squeezed into the downtown Legion building,
some coming back later just to fit!  This year, over 60 crafters,
DIY’ers, and artists will be presenting on all three levels of the
museum.  This is not your typical arts and crafts fair with the usual
country crafts.  This event will feature items such as plush monsters,
collage antique jewelry, remade vintage hats, glass etched mugs,
handcrafted modern stereos, screenprinted baby onesies, trendy craft
supplies, and the list goes on!

The exciting, emerging movement of crafters of all ages and
experiences is growing who want an audience of like-mindedness (and
those intrigued!) to come together for a day to celebrate and
collaborate on old and new crafting ideas and dreams.  As a crafter
from last year wrote, “I am so motivated and have so many good ideas!
Winter had gotten really long and depressing for me so I totally
needed this. Seriously, the whole thing was awesome.” Unglued: Craft
Fest is local, creative, and inspired – come be a part of it!

When:  Saturday, February 25
Where:  Plains Art Museum, 704 1st Avenue N, Fargo
Admission:  Free (first 100 attendees receive a free swag bag and Dunn
Bros Coffee)
