Fargo’s first-ever handmade pop up gift shop!
Following up on the success from Unglued: Craft Fest, Unglued is opening Fargo’s first ever handmade pop up gift shop Black Friday through Christmas Eve downtown Fargo – Unglued: Christmas Market. Continuing to pull together the emerging, creative community in the area and beyond, the shop will feature all handmade items created by local and regional crafters hand selected to bring creative, trendy gift options. In addition, the shop will inspire others to get creative by featuring kid and adult gift workshops, free hot chocolate to enjoy while shopping, and other special events. Quite simply – a whimsical, refreshing holiday shopping experience.
Bringing back traditional crafting techniques with a fresh, new flair and lots of Midwest love, Unglued: Christmas Market is sure to satisfy a market that is bursting at its seams for the creatively handmade. Over 70 crafters will be represented in this new venue for their handmade goods to be featured. Most work busy day jobs outside of the artistic realm and find that being a part of Unglued gives them the creative outlet they need. One crafter wrote, “Really busy crazy with both of my jobs and Unglued keeps me going. Knitting keeps me sane and this gives me something to look forward to.”
Gift items featured will be screenprinted linens and textiles, metal works including jewelry stands and deer antlers, handsewn ereader covers, upcycled vintage jewelry, organic baby clothes, silkscreened ties, beauty products, knitted and crocheted cowls and slouchy hats, vinyl wallets, wall art, stuffed monsters, ruffled Christmas stockings, greeting cards, and ornaments, and the list goes on. One attendee from Unglued’s craft fest this past March wrote, “I came up from Starbuck, MN & it was SO worth the (2 hour) drive! It was so lovely to see so much talent in one space!” Many of the same crafters will be represented in addition to many new, emerging talents.
Wanting to inspire others to also get creative, six gift workshops will be offered to make items such as thumb-printed necklaces for mom and grandma, fancy friendship bracelets for girlfriends, glass etched coffee glasses for dad and grandpa, and magazine Christmas trees for modern décor.
