George Pfeiffer Works on Display in ND Governor’s Office

Two oil paintings by artist George Pfeiffer will hang in North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple’s office in the Capitol Building in Bismarck through 2012. The paintings are on loan to the capitol from Plains Art Museum, which holds the works in its permanent collection. The two paintings are titled Dalrymple Farms, Casselton, and Sheyenne River Valley. Dalrymple Farms, Casselton, depicts the farm of Dalrymple’s grandfather. Both paintings were originally commissioned from Pfeiffer in 1983 by Norwest Bank in Casselton and subsequently donated to the Museum in 1999.
