This class is open to all oil painters intermediate to advanced. The workshop will emphasize shape painting to build better composition and help you be more accurate in modeling form for anything you paint. Values will also be addressed, to help create stronger paintings, regardless of subject matter. Jean will do two 45 minute demos. This is a skill-building workshop to cover issues in making strong paintings. A supply list will be mailed to participants upon paid registration.
Jean Ranstrom is an national award winning artist in oil and pastel. She has been published in The Artist Magazine and Pastel Journal. She owned and operated a gallery and teaching studio in White Bear Lake, MN for 13 years. Jean continues to teach workshops in her home studio in rural Alvarado, MN as well as the surrounding area and in Arizona.
