NDSU Visual Arts/PEARS “Visiting Artist Program” presents Summer Printmaking Workshop “Lithography: 24/7″ June 7-18, 2010
Catherine Chauvin, Tamarind trained master printer and Head of Printmaking at the University of Denver, will present an intensive workshop exploring the idea of ‘messages’ through stone and polyester-plate lithography plus trace monotype. This basic introduction to traditional Bavarian limestone with its seductive surface then moving on to contemporary process with plastic plates. The medium will be introduced and explored through demonstration, lecture and critique, with ample time for practice. An exchange portfolio will be created during the second week under supervision of Kent Kapplinger. To get early-registration discount for graduate level and non-credit your deposit must be postmarked by March 30.
