Michael will discuss the experience of participation as it relates to cultural production in art. Michael will address the field of aesthetics, and the way in which culture conditions our habits of perception. Michael will discuss the space between artist and audience, and the way in which art operates and engages within this space. Also, he will share previous examples of participatory work he has done, as well as how his research has led him to his current project, the Drawing Gym. There will be time for discussion and participation.
