You will share the experience of drawing and painting with an emphasis on technique, color concepts, design and creativity. Judi will help you to explore some unconventional three-dimensional techniques. Judi does not impose her way of working on others, but encourages the strengths of each individual as they pursue their own goals. The aim of the workshop is to expand, explore, and challenge each artist, no matter their level of experience. Personalized, daily individual guidance and evaluation is given to all participants. Paths to developing your own personal painting style will be introduced by this master of creativity and expression. Variation and simplification in design, influence of color, variation in texture and the use of abstract images are some of the essentials that will be explored. You will learn to see and understand Judi’s concept of “magical shapes,” as well as cover new ways to see and capture mood and emotion. The workshop’s focus is to assist the artists in creating their own expressive paintings. Judi’s classes are spirited, upbeat, fun and constructive. The lectures and demos are designed to encourage expansion and exploration. This workshop evokes the spontaneity, fun and delight of creative watercolor. Lectures, demonstrations, plus individual guidance and evaluation are used to assist participants to develop new freedom of expression. Each day Judi presents a challenge, often using it as an element of surprise. See the attached file for some pictures!
