One edition will use a hand-drawn technique, and the other will be a photographically generated image. Participants will enjoy the fabulous PEARS studios in the renovated downtown campus of North Dakota State University (the former home of Northern School Supply). Appropriate for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Participants should bring a black and white 10”x8” sketch.

Participants will transfer drawings to a block and create a black and white relief print over this two-session course. The goal of the course is to give students confidence in carving and printing relief prints. Participants will enjoy the fabulous PEARS studios in the renovated downtown campus of North Dakota State University (the former home of Northern School Supply).

Johnson is currently a Visual Arts Lecturer at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota and interns with PEARS (Printmaking, Education and Research Studio). He has taught numerous printmaking classes and exhibits his own work regionally and nationally. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from the University of North Dakota and Bachelor of Science degree in Art from NDSU.
