Invitation to participate print workshop by visiting artist

Ms. Heggestad will present a workshop on ‘collagraph’ open to the general public and NDSU art students January 15-16 at Renaissance Hall. Hours are 7-9 PM on Friday and 9 AM-Noon on Saturday. The workshop is sponsored by NDSU Visual Arts and P.E.A.R.S.

The public is also invited to observe PEARS intern Judith Feist and NDSU art students while they edition for Ms. Heggestad beginning Wednesday evening from 6-9PM and continuing for several days at Renaissance Hall. Editioned prints will be available for sale beginning February at NDSU Visual Arts and P.E.A.R.S.

Susan Heggestad is a non-traditional printmaker that is not interested in creating multiples, which is the typical definition of the medium. Rather, she is drawn to the endless potential for variations on a theme offered by printmaking. Her mixed-media prints are one of a kind works that begin with a limited number of collagraphic plates.
