Oh What a Relief!
Get some relief this fall with introductory class on the oldest form of printmaking. Participants will transfer drawings to a block and create a black and white relief print over this two-session course. The goal of the course is to give students confidence in carving and printing relief prints. Participants will enjoy the fabulous PEARS studios in the renovated downtown campus of North Dakota State University (the former home of Northern School Supply).
Instructor: Johnson is currently a Visual Arts Lecturer at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota and has taught intro and advanced printmaking at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He also interns with the Printmaking, Education and Research Studio doing print research and studio maintenance. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from the University of North Dakota and Bachelor of Science degree in Art from NDSU.

Printmaking- Color Reduction Relief
Fall into color with crash course in the reduction method of relief printmaking! Learn about the planning, carving, and registration system used to create a multi-color relief print during this four-session course.
